Writer. Wife. Mother. Walt Disney World Geek.
About me…About me…What should I write about me?
There’s Jon, my husband of 20 years. The man has the patience of a saint, I swear to God. He’s kept me sane through parenting, career changes, depression, weight gain and now my weight loss journey.
Then, there’s Miss C. She’s 18 and just started college. We don’t hear from her nearly enough, which tells me she’s probably fine.
Last, but never least in my heart, is Miss E. She’s 14 and just started high school. I just got one out of high school and now I’m starting down the path again. I’m hoping I learned a few things from the screw ups I made with the first one. I have a feeling some new lessons are on the horizon.
Expect real stories about the stuff that goes on: the good, the bad and the totally strange. With a husband, two teenage girls and two dogs — well, let’s just say there’s a decent amount of entertainment around here.
I love Walt Disney World.
I’m 45 years old and WDW is my favorite place to go. I love planning trips and just sharing tips and memories. When I’m bored, I check the lines at the parks just to see how long I’d have to wait for the PeopleMover, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spaceship Earth, Toy Story Midway Mania or Test Track.
I admit I have a problem.
I have a love/hate relationship with writing.
It brings me joy and frustration — usually at the same time. It’s my job; it’s one of my life passions.
I hate BS
I hate it reading it. I hate hearing it and it has no place in my writing. You all have BS sensors, so why waste everyone’s time? We all have enough crap in our lives, so I’m going to do my best to keep it real as much as I can.
So, hold on to the lap bar and enjoy the ride!
